Using the 108 online prayer beads
BuddhaSit has an interactive strand of 108 wooden prayer beads. Open Prayer beads from the bottom controls, turn the strand by dragging, touch, or arrow keys, and use the display to follow bead progress and the current round.
Open the prayer-bead view
Enter the temple and choose Prayer beads from the bottom controls. This opens a focused view of the wooden strand, separate from walking around the hall. You can use it without registering or buying anything.
Take a moment to find the bead display and the control for returning to the temple. You can leave this view whenever you wish; you do not have to complete a round before going back.
Turn the strand with your device
On a computer, drag the strand with the pointer or use the arrow keys. On a touchscreen, move the beads with a finger. Watch the bead counter as you turn to see how your movement advances the strand.
Begin with a short movement rather than a quick sweep. Once you see the response, continue at a comfortable pace. The action is under your control; there is no required speed, spoken text, or target duration.
Read bead progress and the current round
The strand contains 108 beads, and a full pass through them makes one round. The display shows your progress through the beads and the number of the round you are currently on. Use these two indications to follow the session you are doing.
This counter measures the prayer-bead interaction. It does not count bows made by your visitor in the hall. If you want to bow instead, return to the temple and use its separate Bow control.
Choose sound and return to the hall
Bead sounds depend on enabling sound. If you want them, turn on the sound control and check your volume. A silent strand can still be turned; hearing a sound is not necessary to follow the visual counter.
Use the return control to close the bead view and rejoin the temple. You can then sit, move to another part of the room, or open Settings to listen to chanting. The beads are an optional part of your visit, so stop whenever you are ready.
