Visiting the online Buddhist temple

BuddhaSit is a shared virtual Buddhist temple you can enter without an account or payment. Walk to a free cushion to sit automatically, use the bow controls, or stay quietly alongside other visitors.

Enter from a computer or phone

Open BuddhaSit in a browser with JavaScript and WebGL enabled and allow the temple scene to load. You do not need to install an app or create a profile. This is a browser experience rather than a booking for a physical temple or a guided ceremony.

On a computer, click an open patch of floor to walk there, or use WASD or the arrow keys. Drag to look around and scroll to zoom. On a phone, tap the floor to move, swipe to look around, and pinch with two fingers to zoom.

Find a seat and leave it

Approach an empty cushion. The temple selects a nearby available seat and sits your visitor down automatically. Cushions occupied by another visitor or a resident character are unavailable; walking towards one does not replace its occupant.

To leave your seat, use WASD or the arrow keys, or click or tap an open patch of floor: your visitor stands and starts walking. Walk clear of the cushion so you can leave without being seated again immediately at the same spot. If no nearby seat is free, try another part of the hall.

Bow at your own pace

Choose Bow from the bottom controls to begin repeated bows. Choose Stop when you want to finish and stand up; allow the current movement to finish. You can also simply sit without bowing.

The 108-bead counter belongs to the separate prayer-bead view. It is not a counter for 108 bows, so use the bow control without expecting the bead total to track this movement.

Meet in the same shared room

Share the current room link to invite someone into the same room. Changing the language in Settings keeps your room, so visitors can read different interface languages while sharing a space.

A room number does not lock a room or make it private. Other public visitors can enter too. Closing the tab disconnects your visitor and releases your seat; the link is an invitation to a place, not a reserved cushion.
